How Much Does Botox Cost in Colombia? 2026 Prices

Botox prices in Colombia in 2026 vary depending on the treatment area, the brand, and the city. A single facial area (forehead, frown lines, or crow’s feet) ranges from COP $350,000 to $800,000 (roughly USD $95 to $215). A full upper-third session covering three areas runs COP $900,000 to $1,800,000 (about USD $245 to $485). Priced per unit injected, the range is COP $15,000 to $25,000 (around USD $4 to $7), with 30 to 60 units typically used per session.

I’ve spent more than ten years injecting botulinum toxin in my practice. And if there’s one question I hear literally every single day, it’s this one: “Doctor, how much does Botox cost in Colombia?”

The short answer: it depends. The honest answer: it depends on so many things that it’s worth sitting down for a moment to understand them before you reach for your wallet. I’ve seen patients who walk away thrilled with their results, and others who end up in my office fixing the damage done by a “cheap” clinic. The difference almost always came down to the information they had — or didn’t have — when they made their choice.

So I decided to put together this guide using real Colombian market data for 2026. I’ll cover Botox prices in Colombia for the face, the underarms, and even so-called “hair Botox,” which patients ask me about more and more. Everything here is backed by verifiable sources, and I won’t beat around the bush.

If what you’re after is the price of facial Botox in Colombia, these are the ranges we’re currently seeing at clinics using products certified by INVIMA (Colombia’s national health regulator, equivalent to the FDA):

Per individual facial area (forehead, frown lines, or crow’s feet): COP $350,000 to $800,000 (≈ USD $95 to $215). The price depends on the clinic, the city, and the physician’s experience. This is the range that applies when you’re pricing a single area.

Full upper-third session (forehead + frown lines + crow’s feet): COP $900,000 to $1,800,000 (≈ USD $245 to $485). This is what most patients are looking for, since it covers the three areas that age us the most.

Per-unit pricing: COP $15,000 to $25,000 per unit (≈ USD $4 to $7). A full facial session normally uses between 30 and 60 units, depending on the patient’s muscle structure. Men often need more units, because facial muscle mass tends to be greater.

If you’re wondering how Botox prices in Colombia compare to last year: yes, they went up. The increase is estimated at 5% to 10% over 2025. The reason is simple — botulinum toxin is an imported medication, and its cost is tied directly to the US dollar exchange rate and to inflation in medical supplies.

Prices by city: Bogotá, Medellín, Cali and more

Botox prices in Colombia vary quite a bit depending on where you have it done. This isn’t necessarily about quality — it’s about each city’s operating costs.

Bogotá has the widest range: from COP $400,000 up to $2,000,000 (≈ USD $108 to $540). Clinics in neighborhoods like Chicó, Rosales, Usaquén, or the Zona T charge more, mainly because of the rent and operating costs in those areas. In neighborhoods farther north you can find more affordable prices without sacrificing quality — as long as you verify the practitioner’s credentials.

Medellín prices are similar to the national average. In El Poblado or Laureles, a full session runs between COP $800,000 and $1,500,000 (≈ USD $215 to $405). Some clinics charge per unit, which lets you adjust the cost to what you actually need.

Cali and Barranquilla tend to sit slightly below Bogotá on average, although premium clinics in these cities match or exceed those figures.

Mid-sized cities such as Bucaramanga, Pereira, Ibagué, or Villavicencio usually offer more competitive prices. But the golden rule applies just the same: verify the product, verify the professional.

Botox for the face: which areas are treated, and what does each one cost?

Forehead: Corrects the horizontal lines that appear when you raise your eyebrows. Between 8 and 16 units depending on the case. Approximate cost: COP $350,000 to $600,000 (≈ USD $95 to $160).

Frown lines (glabellar lines, the “11s”): Those vertical lines between the eyebrows that give an angry or tired look. Between 12 and 24 units. Approximate cost: COP $400,000 to $650,000 (≈ USD $108 to $175).

Crow’s feet: The wrinkles around the eyes that show up when you smile. Between 8 and 16 units per side. Approximate cost: COP $350,000 to $600,000 (≈ USD $95 to $160).

Other, lesser-known areas: lips (perioral lines, the “barcode”), subtle eyebrow lift, gummy-smile correction, neck (platysmal bands), and the jaw for refining facial contour. These applications are usually quoted separately and require considerable physician experience, so they aren’t the cheapest options.

What explains the price differences between clinics?

I’ve seen patients receive quotes of COP $500,000 at one place and COP $2,000,000 at another for what appears to be the same thing.

But it isn’t the same thing. Here are the real reasons:

The product: Using Botox by Allergan is not the same as using a generic, uncertified product. Brands with a valid INVIMA registration and a guaranteed cold chain cost more, and that’s reflected in the final price. In 2023, INVIMA issued health alerts about products such as INNOTOX and BOTULAX being sold on social media with no certification whatsoever.

The physician: Any licensed physician can administer botulinum toxin in Colombia. But experience genuinely matters. A specialist in dermatology, plastic surgery, or aesthetic medicine with years of practice knows how to dose according to your specific musculature and to anticipate how the result will turn out. A weekend course doesn’t give you that.

What’s included: At a good practice, the price includes the prior medical consultation, the application with a certified product, and a follow-up appointment around 15 days later. At that review, the physician assesses whether a fine touch-up is needed — usually at no extra charge. Always ask what’s included before you pay.

The clinic: Biosafety, cold-chain storage, follow-up protocols — all of that costs money. And it’s worth paying for.

Red flags: when a low price is a warning sign

If someone offers you Botox for under COP $600,000 (≈ USD $160) for the complete upper third, you should be asking yourself some serious questions. Extremely cheap offers can mean products without an INVIMA registration, excessive dilution of the product (to make it “stretch” further), or non-medical staff performing the application.

I’ve seen these cases in my own practice: patients arriving with facial asymmetry, drooping eyelids, or results that lasted barely a month. All because they went for the cheapest option without verifying anything.

Checklist before your first appointment

What I tell every new patient:

  1. Research the professional. Look into their training and years of experience.
  2. Compare at least 2 or 3 options. Don’t settle for the first option or the cheapest one.
  3. Verify the INVIMA registration. Ask about the product brand and confirm it has a valid INVIMA registration.
  4. Confirm what the price includes. Consultation, application, and follow-up should all be part of the quoted price.
  5. Ask how many units they’ll use. Have them explain the quantity and the reasoning behind that dosage.
  6. Have realistic expectations. Botox softens dynamic wrinkles. It does not erase deep, already-set wrinkles, and it does not replace treatments like hyaluronic acid fillers.

Remember: a good professional will always do a prior assessment, explain the procedure, and answer all your questions before applying any treatment.

Frequently asked questions about Botox prices in Colombia

Does Botox hurt?

Very little. Most people describe it as a quick pinch. It usually doesn’t require anesthesia, although some physicians use topical numbing creams.

There’s no single “correct” age. Many patients begin in their late twenties or thirties as a preventive measure, while others start later to treat lines that are already visible. What matters is a proper assessment of your skin and your facial muscle movement, not a number.

Botulinum toxin has a long track record of safe use in aesthetic medicine when applied by a qualified professional with a certified product. The risks rise sharply when the product is uncertified or the person injecting it lacks proper training — which is exactly why verification matters so much.

Absolutamente no. La toxina botulínica es un medicamento de prescripción médica. Su aplicación requiere conocimiento anatómico preciso. Una inyección en el punto equivocado puede causar párpados caídos, asimetría facial u otros problemas.

No. This is genuinely dangerous. Botulinum toxin is a prescription medication that requires precise anatomical knowledge to dose and place correctly. Self-injection can cause facial asymmetry, drooping eyelids, and more serious complications. It should only ever be administered by a qualified physician.
